Kaibab Camper Village is the ultimate camping experience at the Grand Canyon North Rim. We’re the only North Rim campground with full RV hookups, and we accommodate big rigs over 40 feet. We also have tent sites, a cabin-style room, and an economy cabin.
Vehicle Camping Vehicle camping is permitted only in designated areas in the backcountry. Vehicles of all kinds, including four-wheel drives, motorcycles, and bicycles, must stay on designated roads. Off-road tire tracks last for years in this fragile desert. There is no off-road travel in the park. All motorized vehicles and their drivers must be properly licensed for highway travel. Obtain copies of the park’s approved road maps at any ranger station or visitor center.
Water Use Please wash dishes at your campsite and not at the water faucets. Do not drain contaminated water on the ground, use the service sink at the comfort station. Dump holding tanks at sanitary stations located at each campground. Except for filling storage tanks do not connect hoses to water faucets. Pets Pets must be kept at all times on a leash not to exceed 6-feet in length and should not be left unattended. There are many coyotes in the park.
Barking dogs are considered a nuisance. Owners must remove them from the campground.

Just a quick blog post and video to thank all you viewers who have subscribed to the Love Your RV! We just surpassed 20, subs! A big part of the renovation was an upgrade to the RV flooring. After looking at a photo of one I was extremely intrigued by this funky looking bicycle. They can get into the innards of our rigs leaving behind a mess as they chew and relieve themselves all over the place. We absolutely love the park, town, and surrounding area.
Introduction We have full-time RVed for five awesome years now. In each of those years, we have headed south for the winter, leaving behind the cloud and rain of our northwest summer haunts on Vancouver Island to travel the sunny southwest desert. We covered approximately miles and visited 7 states. Of the many gorgeous spots dotting the coast one of our all-time favorites is Bandon Beach.
This makes utilizing casino RV parking areas for overnight stops quite convenient. A highlight for me was hiking and photographing its amazing Mesquite Sand Dunes. Thanks to my photographer wife Anne I have in recent years developed a passion for the hobby myself.
Grand Canyon South Rim Campgrounds
It is located near the business district and not far from the Rim Trail. It is set amidst Pinon Pine trees with a measure of shade and somewhat shielded from the busy roads offering seclusion. It is open all year and takes reservations.
Trailer Village RV Park and Camping Ground is also located near the Grand Canyon Village and the Market Plaza. The natural environment is similar to Mather Campground. The RV camping ground permits RVs and trailers up to 50 feet long and provides full hookups, cable television, 30 and 50 amp electrical service, water, and dump station.
A peaceful setting with close access to the dramatic views of the Canyon, a visitor center, and a general store. It is only open weather permitting from Mid-May to Mid-October. Desert View Campground is first-come, first served. Reservations are not accepted. Get there early to claim your camping site. The campground is usually full by early evening during the peak summer months.
Pets must be leashed at all times. Overflow parking is available at the Desert View Center parking lot. There is no water, no utility or hookups. There is one men’s and one women’s handicap accessible restroom with flush toilets and cold water sinks. There are two common water faucets in the campground but may not be used to fill vehicle water tanks.
There no shower facilities, but showers and laundry facilities are available at Mather Campground in Grand Canyon Village about 25 miles east of Desert View Campground. Each campsite includes a campfire grill for cooking.
